Celebrate Canada Day Through Culture, Community & Unity!

On June 25, 2026, the One Canada Multicultural Alliance (OCMA) proudly presented One Canada: Voices of Unity, a special Canada Day celebration held at Aurora Town Square. Following the success of Stories of Asia in Aurora, OCMA continued its commitment to bringing communities together through culture, dialogue, and shared celebration. The event welcomed residents, families, artists, community organizations, volunteers, elected officials, and supporters from diverse cultural backgrounds to celebrate Canada’s diversity and the values that unite us.

Throughout the evening, the venue came alive with music, multicultural performances, cultural presentations, and community spirit. People of all ages gathered to enjoy an inspiring Canada Day event that reflected the richness of Canada’s multicultural identity while creating opportunities for friendship, cultural appreciation, and meaningful connection.

Audiences experienced performances representing a variety of cultural traditions, each highlighting the heritage, creativity, and contributions of the communities that together form Canada’s multicultural mosaic. More than entertainment, every performance offered an opportunity to build understanding, encourage dialogue, and celebrate the diversity that strengthens our country.

The evening also reflected the friendships, partnerships, and community relationships developed through OCMA’s ongoing multicultural programming, including Stories of Asia in Aurora, while reinforcing the importance of inclusion, mutual respect, and cultural exchange in building welcoming and vibrant communities.

The event would not have been possible without the dedication of our volunteers, performers, community partners, sponsors, and supporters. Their time, talent, and commitment helped transform the event into a memorable community experience that brought people together through culture, creativity, and shared purpose.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to the Town of Aurora and everyone who supported the planning and delivery of the event. Partnerships among municipalities, community organizations, cultural groups, and volunteers play an essential role in creating inclusive public celebrations that reflect the diversity of our community.

One Canada: Voices of Unity celebrated not only the many cultures that make Canada unique, but also the values we share—respect, inclusion, compassion, and community spirit. Every performance, conversation, and shared moment helped strengthen the connections that make Aurora and York Region more welcoming, inclusive, and vibrant places to live.

As we celebrate Canada Day, we also celebrate the people who make Canada feel like home. Together, we honour our diversity, embrace our differences, and continue building a stronger and more united future for everyone.
